February musings

   

I love carving avocado seeds! There is a softness and warmth to the material. I have experience with carpentry and furniture building, and working with this seed was a surprise. 

I am enjoying sewing. I am far from an expert with sewing, but I recently started to use a sewing machine. I am repurposing silk ties for a project.

Silk is a strong fabric. Though these fabric pieces are small, many were made in high end fabric manufactures and were designed carefully. I need to learn to work with it.

As in my past work, I am looking to use their "DNA" to create.
